Diamonds Guide
How to choose a diamond? Know the 4Cs to choose your diamond. The combination of 4C determines the value of the diamond.
Clarity Clarity
Due to its nature, diamond can have inclusions. Its scale ranges from FL (Free of inclusions) to I3 (Visible inclusions), classified under the magnifying glass of 10 times. The fewer inclusions, the higher its value. At Jewelry Grau we use diamonds of VS1 to SI1.
Color
The highest value diamonds are colourless diamonds. Most white diamonds can have a slightly yellow hue. The colour grade is graded for a comparison from letter D to Z. At Jewelry Grau we use F or G diamonds.
Cut Cut
For a diamond shine with all its brilliance, it must be cut respecting the correct proportions symmetry. The size rating can be “excellent”, “very good”, “good”, “acceptable” or “mediocre”. At Jewelry Grau we use “excellent” or “very good” diamonds.
Carat Carat
The carat of the diamonds refers to their weight. A carat equals 0,20 gr. The carats of a diamond don’t determine its value by itself, so because it has a great weight, it doesn’t mean that it has more value. At Jewelry Grau you can choose the carats of your diamond.
Certificates
Los Grau's diamonds come directly from the Antwerp, New York and Telavib exchanges, following strict controls. As gemmologists we certify our diamonds.
TheGIA (Geomological Institute of America) certificate is the world’s most reputable certificate with the strictest classification. It is the one that gives us the most guarantee of certification.
